Welcome

The Côte de Beaupré, situated on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River facing the Ile d’Orléans, enjoys a microclimate through its south-facing slopes and proximity to the river. In addition, its fertile soils are favorable for growing grapes and berries.

The Vignoble du Petit Pré is located in Chateau-Richer at 7021 Avenue Royale, also known as the “Route de la Nouvelle-France.” The vineyard takes its name from the Moulin du Petit Pré, originally built in 1695 along the road at the foot of the vineyard. In this historic stone mill you’ll also find our winery, by the road backing the building you will access the vineyard and the boutique where you can taste our many products.

The five-hectare vineyard was planted in 1997, primarily with Vandal Cliche grapes, developed here in Quebec to withstand our cold winters. The north-south orientation of the vines and the Geneva double curtain trellis system allow for both better air circulation and more sun exposure for the grapes, leading to an earlier and more even maturation.

We also have three hectares of berries—raspberries, black currants, saskatoonberries, and blackberries—used in a variety of fine wines, liqueurs, vinegars, and other delicious products.

Take the “Route des Vins” and visit the vineyard, planted on a spectacular site with a view of the St. Lawrence River and the Ile d’Orléans. Discover the secrets of winemaking, sample our products, and meet the wine grower or our winemaker, who will be more than happy to answer your questions.
